Review:

A roof leak caused damage to my property in the storage unit. The store manager has been challenging since move in day. As far as to threaten to call the police if my 25’ moving van touches the plastic weather seal of the garage door. December 11, 2024 I informed the store manager of the leak, he called for “emergency services” to repair the roof. I set up an empty fish tank to capture as much water as possible. The store manager required me to remove and dump the leaking roof water as instructed by the district manager.
The district manager granted me 1 month free if I agreed to transfer units. Requiring me to take off of work to move my property into another unit the district manager agreed to allow me 1 week to move. Signing the contract for a transfer was challenging with a higher monthly amount, I refused to sign the contract without revisions. The store manager was sick, later to find out with COVID, refusing to send me the document digitally. Claimed I was being difficult and combative. Once hearing the store manager was sick I left the office and contacted the corporate hotline. The district manager quickly responded and attempted to resolve the situation. Having to explain to the store manager the unprofessional approaches he was using - threatening to call the police, using profanity to express his frustration over disposing of the roof leak water, attempting to take photos of my belongings that were no where near the leak in their roof. As of December 30,2024 the roof is still leaking and the paper copy of the lease transfer was signed. I am still required to dispose of the leaking roof water that filled a 10 gallon fish tank since December 11, 2024. Overall the experience has been challenging specially with a store manager claiming to be “only trying to help me out” and I look forward to a more professional customer experience. The difficult part is having to move my belongings now that I caught COVID a few days after interacting with the store manager while he was knowingly sick. I’m grateful that the store manager secured a unit a few doors down from my unit.
