CubeSmart Self Storage

There was only one working cart. It was difficult to carry our items to the unit.

I’ve been a CubeSmart customer for 3+ years with no complaints. I was getting promotional emails from them and found out that I was paying 2 1/3 times more than a new customer for the same size unit. They ultimately reduced me to what I was paying the previous year, but it was still over twice as much as somebody new. The young man I spoke with suggested I could go to a smaller or larger unit for X amount and he would hold For me till Monday and it might only be a few dollars difference. And the unit was right next to my old unit. Seemed like a great deal. I went out and bought additional shelving and went in on Monday only to find out it was 20+ dollars more than it was on Friday and the only explanation was well sometimes it goes up .. but I was assured , after asking multiple times, that it would not go up more than a few dollars. I took the unit anyway because it was still less than what I had been paying, but I Felt like it was distinctly a bait and switch. I was offered another unit on a different floor for a little less money, but being 72+ years old, dragging everything up and down the elevator was not my idea of fun.The storage facility itself is very clean. The customer service people were certainly pleasant to deal with. Also, there is no place on site to discard garbage .

It was late, and the office was about to close, but I decided to stop by anyway. The representative took the time to walk me through all the details and explain the process clearly. Right after that, I started moving my things in right away. Dealing with CubeSmart has been a fantastic experience.
