I used Cube Smart to store my home’s contents for approximately one year. I was sooo disappointed to find that my furniture and clothing were covered in mildew, and some with rodent urine, when I emptied the unit. A leather sofa had to be taken to the dump it was so damaged, and all the clothing had to be laundered to remove mildew. The customer service and security were very good, so I do plan to speak to them about the issues. If it is expected to have mildew and rodent urine when storing furnishings and clothing in these units, the staff should have advised me of this at the time I rented the units. I had a 10x30 and a 10x10 in the non temperature controlled section, and I believe I should’ve been advised of the damage to be expected as a result of the dampness in the non temperature controlled section.
