I was a tenant in the same unit for 22 years and became increasingly alarmed by significant rent increases year over year for long-term renters. The latest hike from $356 to $432 per month for a non-climate-controlled 10x25 unit is unacceptable, especially when new renters pay much less—like a colleague who secured a 10x20 for $119/month.

Service quality has declined. The office is often not staffed, and current staff responsiveness is lacking. Additionally, property maintenance has deteriorated, particularly in winter, with infrequent snow removal and inadequate salting, creating hazardous conditions and inaccessibility to storage units. Given the rising costs, I would expect better maintenance and access to communal facilities like the dumpster, which is currently for management only.

Check in was easy and employee was very nice

The office staff was extremely kind throughout the entire rental process. We ran into an issue (flat tire on the way) that delayed our rental by a week (special tire had to be ordered). When I called, they were super nice and very understanding with their response. On the move in day, we were able to check in early, too. I am beyond impressed with the CubeSmart team at this location. They are friendly, professional and a genuine pleasure to work with!
