SEPTEMBER 2024 UPDATE:

They double-locked our storage unit (red lock) so we couldn't access it even though I have never missed a payment and had already paid for the month September.

Their response? Oops. Our bad. - That's it.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY TO STORE YOUR BELONGINGS.

If I could move my stuff out sooner I would. When I signed up the storage was around $180/month. My bill for January? $304. (December 2023's bill was $266.) They have ridiculous automatic price increases every year.

I used to have a 2nd storage cube (non-AC). The wing it was in was hit by burglars. They charged US for new locks. Even the police officer laughed when the manager mentioned putting it on our bill.

If you do choose to store your stuff here, I would avoid the outside cubes at all costs because they are not safe and CubeSmart does not care about offering any type of help, apology, or partial credit to your bill for the inconvenience.

The inside (AC) units are more secure, but are they worth $304/month with rates rising another $40/month next year and then again the year after that? (It's not. lol.)

EDIT: I followed the (owner's copy/paste) instructions to email support. As suspected, there was NO reply or acknowledgement.

All of these 5-star reviews are from people *signing up* to rent. The process for that is great! They're personable and make it seem like you're getting a great deal. (They're not going to mention the insane ongoing rental increases each year.)

... But once you have all your stuff stored and you're locked in, that's where you'll start to see what the negative reviews are talking about.

My rental experience at cubesmart Hwy 19 Zachary was very professional. All of my questions were thoroughly answered. I was in and out quickly. The rental prices are very reasonable!

Teeka was absolutely amazing. I looked at several different climate-controlled storages, andI had made my decision. However, passing by CubeSmart on my home, I decided to pull in and check them out.

Teeka was so personable, patient, and knowledgeable. And even though, they are super clean, well-lit, and well-maintained (which were the base requirements for me), Teeka was the deciding factor! I would absolutely recommend.

I was not notified about how I can save money on renting a storage by using my homeowner insurance until after I was charged and the contract was signed. If I was told that when I first spoke with someone about renting a unit, I would have brought my declaration page in with me when I signed the contract. I didn’t realize she charge me for that until the next day when I look at my receipt. I was under the impression that I would be charge the following month if I don’t bring my insurance declaration page in before the due date or submit online
