D & J Movers ATL

They did an amazing job...they were really quick and careful.

Pedro and his moving partner Antonio were on time, professional, on point with the wrapping of the furniture and left no room for error!

We have moved twice with D&J Movers. The first move was in 2020 and then again in 2024. Both moves were local moves. After our first move with D&J in 2020, I would have given them a 5 star review. Unfortunately, they made some mistakes this time that I can only give 4 stars.

Price:
Excellent and fair pricing. The team worked tirelessly throughout each move and were well worth the price.

Communication and timing:
Both David and Yessica were easy to communicate with. They were prompt over the phone and over email.

Care for our belongs:
They went to great lengths to ensure all of our pieces were taken care of. The house we were moving from had some tight hallways and corners. David's team handled them with relative ease. A few big challenges: moving an oversized sofa, disassembling and then reassembling our refrigerator doors, and removing and packing our large TV. They handled all of these difficult tasks very well.

Three problems emerged from our move. I believe all three could have been solved had the team paid more attention.

#1 The Crib:
The team disassembling the crib lost the hardware. We couldn't assemble the crib until the next day after a trip Ace to purchase new screws and bolts.
Solution: Yessica offered to reimburse us for this after we emailed them the next day.

#2 Water left running:
The team disassembling our washer and dryer at our previous house left the water running at the shutoff valve. We did not catch this until 24hrs later. According to the contract we signed, D&J cannot be held financially liable for this. We incorrectly expected them to shut off the water after they disassembled the tubes.

#3 Washer drain tube not inserted into the drain
According to the contract we signed, D&J cannot be held financially liable for this mistake. When they reconnected our washer, they did not put the drain tube down the drain. Instead, they left it attached to the washer. When we ran the washer the next day, we found the laundry room flooded with water 20 minutes into the cycle. Again, D&J are not financially liable for this based on the contract we signed. We incorrectly expected them to assemble all of the washer lines, not just three of the four.

All in all, D&J took great care throughout our move. My only recommendation is to check every single disassembly and reassembly point with the moving team during the walk through.

Excellent service from start to finish! Yessica was super helpful with scheduling and the crew arrived on time to move our items out of storage, to our new home. They were professional, efficient, handled our items with care! I would definitely hire them again! Thank you D&J Movers!

Booked them a week before our move. 6 hard working guys, 26ft truck with 2 trips to move a 5 bedroom house. They brought plenty of supplies, tools and rugs to protects the floors. We were very pleased with their deliberate care throughout the process. Pedro and his crew did a great job! Highly recommend.
