Shifty! When he initially called, he said if we did not use his service, we would be ripped off. Stated some law regulating how much movers are legally allowed to charge and then stated he would charge us that amount as the base fee and then let us know how much the total would be when he came to pick our items up.
When I said I was not comfortable doing that and his pushy attitude has convinced me he is untrustworthy, he continued to insist. After I hung up, he texted me several long rants. I blocked his number to stop the texts.
It's been a little over a week and he just called me again. As soon as he introduced himself, I said 'I already told you we are not interested.' He said he'd politely texted me all the information and tried to say I was being unreasonable. He then tried to tell me the broker we hired has subcontracted with his company to do our move. What a lie! I hung up and blocked his number a second time - he must use a series of different phone numbers. Then I get a notification for a voice mail message which was him urgently telling me that our broker has contracted with his company to do our move.
We are not using a broker. We are not using professional movers. We went a completely different route to move our items. It is very concerning that innocent people could fall for such lies as he's told me.
