Overall, we had an okay experience. The packers were fabulous. Special shout-out to Tyler, Xavier, Mikah, Jay, Jacob, and Deandre. We could not boast about them enough! They were professional, efficient and polite. We also felt like all of our things were packed thoughtfully and have yet to find anything broken - so thank you all for that! Our loading crew was also great. Unfortunately I did not get their names as I had an appointment to run out to and my husband stayed for their departure, but they were also professional, efficient and polite.
Unfortunately our off loading was not as great as our loading process was. Apparently Day Transfer subcontracted a local company to help with unloading our house hold goods at our new destination and we are now short one pretty expensive item that was accounted for at the beginning of that day. While we received one phone call from Day Transfer when it initially happened, we haven’t heard anything since. We called them pretty quickly upon noticing the item had gone missing and no attempt was made to bring the crew back to resolve it. And now, no attempt has been made to rectify this situation or check in. The driver didn’t even know the guys names who assisted him with delivery that day, which is a bit concerning because when you have a moving company come and be responsible for your belongings, you’re trusting them to have done their due diligence on the people who are coming into your home with your things.
I was in the house when this item was stolen from us and was completely taken advantage of because I have two little kids to tend to, along with being 8 months pregnant. Disappointed doesn’t even cover how we are feeling in regards to the customer service, lack of communication, and the unloading experience we had.
Just conducted a PCS move out with Day Transfer. The staff that my family and I dealt with were all very nice and friendly. However, the packers, specifically one of them, didn’t do their job which has made my family and I scrambling to figure out what to do with the unpacked stuff that was left. We even called customer service to see if they would send them back out to finish it. Nope, didn’t happen. They told my wife “we will put it in your file”. No you won’t. You are contracted by the military and bad remarks get you removed from the contract. All we wanted was for the remaining stuff to be packed. Also, the packers left our house without even asking my wife for a walkthrough, instead of focusing on your off time and cancer sticks (and leaving them in my yard), try making sure your job is done correctly.
