DO NOT TRUST DEERFIELD MOVING!!! After working w them for months preparing to move a 3,500 sq. foot house 800 miles to Atlanta, the owner calls 5 days before the move date to tell me there is NO TRUCK for us. The owner was nonchalant and dismissive on top of it all!! Horrible experience!!

Very unprofessional company, guy in photo was swerving switching lanes with no signal in box truck and when I pulled up to the window he said if I was to get out I would be “dead”

THE WORST EXPERIENCE WE'VE EVER HAD!!
I would give them 0 stars if I could, they don't even deserve 1!

My husband and I moved out of the country in August and were assigned Deerfield Movers as our local pack out movers. This was taking place in the midst of the COVID pandemic.

The first day, two workers arrived both not wearing masks. I politely asked them to put on masks as not only did we fear for our safety and the safety of the workers, but we would not have been allowed to move out of the country had we gotten covid. It was required that everyone wear masks when in my entire apartment building, as was made evident by the signs throughout my entire apartment building stating that they must be worn when in apartment common areas AT ALL TIMES (which they did not follow). I asked if they could wear masks when they were inside of our small (~700 square foot apartment). They put up quite an argument and finally put them on (although not covering their nose most of the time). They also took them off frequently, especially when I left the room as evidenced by them scrambling to put them back on when I would walk back into the room. I could sense they were not happy with me so I called and spoke with their supervisor, Larry, conveying my concerns and asking what their policy was regarding masks and regarding everyone's safety during this pandemic. He was extremely rude and unprofessional. He told me 'I am not sure if we can complete your move if you are expecting my men to wear masks when there is a heat advisory out'. Keeping in mind that this was when they were packing our things and were INSIDE of our apartment which is air conditioned and was very cold.

During the pack out, I watched how they were packing our things and were doing things very carelessly. They damaged multiple things. You would not have thought they were 'professional' movers based on the way they were packing things.

The second day, the men had their masks below their noses and off a lot of the time they were in my apartment. They also were wiping their noses and touching things and used the bathroom without asking.

They were not wearing gloves and everything was done in a very unsanitary way. They moved mattresses without boxes or bags (very dirty, dragging the mattress on the ground through the hallway). Thankfully they wrapped our new, expensive couch-- but ONLY after I had to ask them to do so. They did not wrap or protect any of our furniture (bookcases, end tables, etc) from damage while being moved through doorways and into elevators.

The blankets that they moved our furniture with were absolutely disgusting and dirty (I attached pictures below).

We have moved various other times using professional movers and have never experienced such an awful move, nonetheless amidst a worldwide pandemic! They have awful reviews for a reason!!!

Very unprofessional! Larry, the president, showed up to my house with a bad attitude. Was very rude before even getting started. Parked in front of neighbors house, when I told him he can park in my drive way, he toled me he was fine where he's at. When I asked him to leave my home, he asked me outside to fight.
