Delaney Moving & Storage

Through United Van Lines we were connected with Delaney for a move from Syracuse to Southeastern PA the end of August. They were all very polite and very fast. The speed however came with the sacrifice of care of my belongings. Some things were chipped, broken, scratched but the biggest issue was a large piece of custom cut glass that goes on top on my heirloom kitchen table. It was wrapped in a bunch of comforters. It never made it to the destination. The morning of delivery the truck broke down in NYC and everything had to be moved onto a new truck and I have a feeling the glass didn't make the move. When I called the main person that delivered everything said he distinctly remembered putting it in the garage but *nothing* went into the garage and it's definitely no where to be found. So I guess I'm out a custom glass table top and multiple comforters. They were also given pretty specific instructions on delivery where to put everything and it seems like it was rushed and we had to rearrange everything ourselves after the fact so we could access it all. They were nice. Things were done fast. The speed definitely cost me my table top and the hassle afterwords of having to move everything to where it was supposed to go.

We are partway through the process and are totally satisfied so far. Art and Cheryl have been very accommodating and helpful. The team that loaded our belongings yesterday was pleasant to have in our home, very efficient and tidy. Delivery to our new home won't be for two months so our items will be stored. We have confidence that the rest of the moving experience will be positive.

The two plus months of waiting to move finally ended in early January. We had basically the same team for this part of the process. They were friendly and made everything easy. The furniture was reassembled and properly placed. We had a lot of boxes, many for the basement, and they cheerfully made many trips. Everything was clearly explained and they were efficient.

We would highly recommend Delaney for anyone making a move like ours,!
