They really care about your stuff when moving stuff.

I recently had an incredibly disappointing experience with Benjamin at Dependable Family Movers. I was quoted $600 for a load-only service at my storage unit, which included 3 movers and was expected to take less than 2 hours. Despite the higher price compared to other movers, I agreed because of the promised flexibility and convenience.

Initially, I asked if Benjamin was available for Tuesday evening or Wednesday morning, and he recommended the morning. Later, I requested a switch to Tuesday morning, and he kindly agreed. I drove from South Carolina on Monday night to be there for the move early the next day.

On Tuesday morning, I opened the storage unit and went to pick up a U-Haul truck nearby. As I was leaving, Benjamin suddenly informed me that he hadn’t realized it was an interior unit and claimed it would take longer than the agreed 2 hours. He demanded an additional $175, which I refused because his quote was already higher than others and he showed up with only 2 movers instead of the promised 3.

Despite our prior agreement, Benjamin texted me while I was picking up the truck, stating he wouldn’t complete the job. When I returned to the storage unit, he was gone, leaving me stranded and scrambling for alternatives.

This experience was highly unprofessional and stressful. I cannot recommend Dependable Family Movers based on this encounter. They’re certainly not dependable.

I am 65 years old disabled veteran my wife is 62 disable moved from Tennessee to Milton Florida. call several moving companies looking for a good price for what we had in a 20-foot U-Haul truck. talked to Ben he said he would move the safe 50 cent a pound for a 500 lb safe ,that's $250 the rest of the stuff for $150 that's $400. He came the day and open up the back truck started moving stuff off the truck started griping over the price he gave me .he was unprofessional and angry to me I felt he was aggressive and bullying. he could not remember why he gave me that price . Made me angry to come at the job and start that cry baby stuff very unprofessional. he said he was tired of my mouth for standing up to him. he threw a fit and started walking off the job my wife ran over to him and said we're senior citizens I'm 62 and he 65 with a bad back and two replacement hips and you come up and do this to us . He calls himself a Christian! He had both of us in a bad spot knowing nobody in Milton .calling several companies and we picked him. My wife stressed out ! agreed to giving him the $600 that he cried over so we can get the job done. I looked at past reviews this is the same scam that he pulls on people especially if he feels he can bully them.. I loaded the truck with another 53-year-old man with a bad back too it took us 2 and 1/2 hours to load this truck. And to have this big young man cry about this truck especially the safe.! He's supposed to be an army veteran like me......Just thought people need to know...!! Do not hire!!!

Ben is extremely unprofessional and took $200 from my mom who's a widow on a fixed income for a job that he declined to do.
Ben, you really should be ashamed of yourself!

Do Not Use this company! If you look at other reviews you will see there's always an issue involving money. Sketchy!

I just wish my widowed mother would have checked reviews before hiring this guy.

They delivered a safe I had bought. Very friendly and easy to deal with.
I will definitely keep them in mind for future moving needs.
