[Update: Dependable Van Lines claims in their response to this review that they have no memory of me so I sent them my bill of lading a week ago to remind them of my experience with them (attached). No response so far.]

Dependable Van Lines is the most predatory and dumbfoundingly unreliable service provider I’ve ever worked with and destroyed $3,700 worth of property without compensation or an apology.

This is my first cross-country move, heading from Chicago to San Antonio because of my wife’s military orders. Dependable severely underquoted me to gain my business ($2000) and then raised the price at pickup ($4400).

I paid $375 for them to pack two TVs worth a total of $3,000 and they simply wrapped them in blankets. Both arrived broken alongside a ruined wooden TV stand for a grand total of $3,700 in damage. It took a month but they finally refunded the $375 packing fee--no compensation for the broken items.

They are unresponsive to phone and email to the point that I once threatened to call local police to do a wellness check on them. Hope hasn’t answered her phone and Khori his email in over two months now despite my routine attempts at contact.

I was forced to find a way to pay by certified funds at 10pm after the bank had closed even though they didn’t mention this beforehand and allowed me to pay my deposit by credit card.

Ultimately much of this is my fault for not being as diligent as I should have been with their contract but in my defense, they neglected to call out critical aspects of the agreement when we reviewed it. Please, for your sake and those of future movees, I beg you to stay away from Undependable Van Lines and send predatory companies out of business where they belong!
