Direct Moving & Storage

I have used Direct Moving and Storage on 5 separate occasions, most recently on May 27th 2024. They are very competent, professional and prompt. They are careful with all items and never caused any damage. Prices are competitive. I highly recommend this company !!!!

Ted and his crew were amazing throughout our entire move. Very professional, accommodating and respectful.

Everything was delivered on time and placed in our home exactly where we needed it. They assembled everything and changed things as we asked. Always very cheerful and helpful.

In addition we were able to save a significant amount of money because of their suggestion. We’re very grateful they had our best interest in mind during the entire process.

I highly recommend and urge you to use them for your next move!

We had a good experience moving and storing our things Dec 2022 till March 2023. Unfortunately we didn't find a property in time and furnishings and boxes were delivered to storage in Florida. Now that we have moved to new home and all boxes unpacked, we realize several things are missing and each time my husband contacts Ted, he's very defensive.
We were with the 2nd moving company throughout the emptying of storage and filling the 2 trucks so gaps lie with Direct Movers. CAUTION!!!

Unfortunately, I need to strongly recommend against using Direct Moving and Storage. We used Ted and team twice. The first time -- about 6 years ago -- they were careful and professional. The second time -- just last week -- they were a disaster. Things have really gone downhill! Multiple items broken due to poor packing including a guitar, glass figurines, and a valuable antique globe. Items just dumped in boxes with seemingly no care. Muddy sneakers boxed up with formal dresses, kitchenware with expensive ties, suits jammed into boxes so that they came out wrinkled and crushed. Just really very little apparent care. No offer to replace or compensate for items that they did not (and could not) deny damaging. The response was 'you should have bought insurance.' Terrible and disappointing. Look elsewhere.

This is my 2nd time using Ted and his team for a move and I was super pleased once again. He moved me about 40 miles away from my place and even with packing at my apartment, picking up stuff from my
storage, moving and unloading at my new place and then bringing things to my new storage, they were awesome all the way. And so nice. They were fast, incredibly caring and very fairly priced. Moving is so stressful and they made us feel so taken care of. It’s such a relief and a joy. I have only great things to say and highly recommend them for any moving job you have :)
