What an absolutely stress free experience. Ted (the owner) and his son, were super professional, friendly, hard working and thorough. They also were fair with their prices and took the time to put together a piece of furniture for me. Overall they made my moving day a happy experience. Thank you guys!!! I would definitely call them again in the future and recommend them highly to anyone looking for stress free and friendly moving company.

Ted and his team did a great job moving my household to Florida.
Everything turned out to be as expected and as agreed upon.
I opted to pack the smaller items myself while they took care of the furnitures and other bulk items. It saved me money and worked out very well. They were very careful with the items and with the houses at the pick up and delivery location. The pickup and delivery was within minutes of the promised time.

*** PLEASE READ BEFORE CONSIDERING THIS COMPANY FOR A MOVE... I hired Direct Moving & Storage to help move my family and I to Florida. I met with the owner Ted, I gave him the info of all the items I was moving, thus he provided me w/ a quote for the move. I had received quotes from different companies but I decided to go w/ Ted as he told me the day we met that 'he is not like other moving companies he would not charge me more the day of the move' BIG MISTAKE... On the moving day his movers came and picked up my items, loaded the truck and closed it, then gave me a MUCH higher price, almost double from the initial quote. Never during the move did his movers tell me that I had gone over the initial 'quoted amount' I called Ted to see if this situation could be rectified, but he did not budge on price, he was very unprofessional, angry and then stopped responding to my calls. When I asked the movers to unload the items they would not and then wanted me to pay them extra to unload the truck. I had no choice but to call the Police. It took for the Police to have them take my items off the truck. Many of my items broke while the movers took them back off the truck in a very careless manner and broke many items. This company took my $500 DEPOSIT and did NOT credit it back. This was a. HORRIBLE experience for my family and I.

I’ve used Direct Moving twice in two years and both moves were absolutely perfect. Ted and his team are kind, quick and super careful. Despite moving on a rainy day, everything was protected and moved into its right spot without getting damaged or wet. Thank you Ted and the guys for caring so much and working so hard!
