I did the work to get a quote, decided it was too high for what I could do on my own, so I didn’t book. I never spoke to a person, never emailed them, and never gave them the impression I was going to book with them.
After I didn’t answer any of their MULTIPLE generic marketing emails (none of which I had ever asked for or responded to), they called me four times within roughly 30 minutes with no caller ID. When I sent it to voicemail, they refused to leave a voicemail and just kept calling until I picked up. Because there was no caller ID, I couldn’t block it and move on. They basically spammed my phone until I picked up.
Called and Richard came out the next day to look over our items and give us a quote for moving.
I needed a move into storage and then a move out of storage. Over the course of the next week, I received 3 different estimates from Richard ranging from $7,400 to $9,600....he continually said that they had new software that was glitching and giving different prices. After the 3rd quote, I said I wanted to confirm and book with DMS. He called me back later that day saying the scheduler was out of town for a week and I should probably book with another company. Just a crazy situation and they put me in a bind just a couple of weeks before I had to be out of my house.
Lost a number of my items during the move, driver was unable to locate the items when we asked. He reassured us that we can file a claim for missing items in the next 90-days. The company flat out refused to reimburse for items, asking for proof of things which went missing. How do you prove things are missing when they aren't there? Very unprofessional.
