To the worker with the EYE PATCH!!!!!! YOU SHOULD BE FIRED!!!! HOW DARE YOU THROW A DRINK FROM THE SECOND FLOOR ON TO MY CAR. I AM AN AMAZON DRIVER MAKING A DELIVERY IN YOUR BUILDING!!!! I had to park there you POS!!! Shame on you for speaking to a woman that way!!!!!! This company needs better employees!!!!! THATS WHY GOD GAVE YOU ONE EYE!

There isn't enough room to write how bad my move was and how they didn't take care of me as promised. I would not recommend you hire them. They are not good for their word and they don't answer your calls when your move goes south. Every item of mine was damaged and I had so many items that were missing on delivery day. They did absolutely NOTHING to help me. I had to pay over $3000 move them contracted because of all the many mistakes. I could go on and on but the bottom line is do not hire them. I was not reimbursed for the lost items or damaged ones. I feel totally taken advantage of.

This was a scam furniture moving company called Dougherty Brothers that screws you over after they receive the first down payment, they promise a price then after you give your initial payment they jack the price up to double, we tried to get our initial payment back after we found out that we were scammed, they said we would be out the money. So we had them do a reduced load just concentrating on our valued furniture and rented Uhaul to move the remaining boxes which forced me to drive from Florida to Nevada. They stated my goods were insured and covered for $10k.
Upon picking up our goods in Florida second payment given in cash, it was discovered that they were no longer the company, they had sold our contract to Carefree Movers, the guys were good and safeguarding our furniture in Fl., after one month our goods finally arrived in Nevada. They insisted that we give them money order from post office, which we had from Chase Bank, refused to accept, so we paid the remaining balance in cash. One guy unloaded our heavy goods, later another young man assisted, upon coming off the truck we could see much damage, it looks as if damaged on purpose. My wife was in tears, the guy from Careless Movers said he would later denote on inventory sheets, which he did and stated to later file a claim. We had furnishings that had holes punched through the back of headboard, entertainment center, bedroom dresser, pictures, and legs broken off dining room chairs, plus legs taken from 65” TV, and cleaning canister taken from our carpet cleaner. This was done maliciously or stored improperly, or loaded in another truck without care to our valued furniture. Notification made immediately to Carefree Movers they stated we go through claim process which pictures supplied, as well driver reports, did all that was requested, and after two months they came back with a settlement that was criminal at $85, this would not even cover one of the dining room chairs. So we refiled and this time they came came back with another slap in the face $135. Can not believe this is allowed to happen, moved with several companies both within US and overseas in the past never any damage, how could this happen with Carefree Movers? Do what is right and make just resolutions to our case.
We will take further actions against these two companies unless action taken to rectify the situation.

SCAM! They lie to you about the quote and give you a different price when they come to your home.
These people gave me a quote of $2000 after requesting the how many furnitures I have and how many bedrooms during the time of quote. The movers came in and gave a quote of $10,000. They are refusing to refund me and I’m taking this to court! And I’m including a copy of my court papers soon after the hearing!
DO NOT BOOK THEM! They are not WORTH IT! Go for other movers!

If I could give 0 stars, I would...we were told a quote and everything was agreed upon. We even paid a deposit. Come the week of the move, they jacked up the price to twice the amount and demanded we paid another deposit. Nope, sorry, but you are not getting our business and we will make sure no one out there uses you again. If you value your money, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They do not do as promised, changes prices at the last minute and even asks for more money. In one word: SCAM.
