Douglas Brown Proffessional Mover

I would not recommend this company to no one . It is not a professional business.Douglas came to do an estimate stated they shrink wrap dresser drawers they take what's nessesary apart an put back together at new home ect.. He quoted a fair price ,When they showed up he had no professional movers with him an you could smell the alcohol a mile away they took a break every 15 minutes was drinking on the job in the truck was also drinking an driving he then tried to charge more because it went over 5 hours and I told him if u didn't take breaks every 15 minutes an 1/2 hour to get to new property which was less then a 5 min drive u would of been done under 5 minutes I had barely any large furniture i downsized from a house to an apartment.He never did what he said day of estimate day of moving left everything taken apart I had my ex over to help he did more then all 3 movers an wasn't getting paid an then he got loud with me yelling an cussing he wanted more money but if he stayed out of the bar an his truck drinking beer an had men who new what they were doing an did what he said it would of went fine I used Havertown movers 5 years ago when moving they were professional my mistake for not calling them again you get what u pay for an his quote was the cheapest that's why I went with him aswell as he was personable to speak with but he fooled me becareful everyone.

They helped me last min. They answered my call and was very nice. Communicated with me tell my things where moved. Will definitely used them again.

These men moved my family for the 3rd. They have done a great job for exactly what they told us it would cost. They were careful and professional.

When I first set up the move with Douglas Brown, I was confident that things would go smoothly thanks to his responsiveness and experience. I looked at reviews online and only saw 1 from about a year ago that showed someone being canceled on the day of. I thought it wouldn’t happen to me, since most reviews were positive. However on the day of my move, he called because he was having “personnel issues”.

One person had a family emergency, which is an understandable absence, while the other simply could not be reached for no reason. He claimed he was calling everyone who’s ever worked for him but they were all busy. So I had to find someone else or reschedule with him and gamble if I would be canceled on again. I canceled and was luckily able to find another moving company at the last minute.
