They were super patient with me having to reschedule and delay my move in multiple times. They were efficient, for everything in and helped me beat the nasty weather before it came in. The owner is very chill and accommodating. Highly recommended.
Edited 12/29/23 - so originally I gave these guys 5 stars because they were quick, efficient, and available in a pinch. We called Amel to use Drocic's services again only for 2 hours of help to load 3 large items and whatever boxes we had into our rental truck. Hee remembered us - super friendly, lighthearted, and lots of jokes were made. We worked out a date when they were available and that would work for us - I asked how early they would be available and he said 9:00am. We agreed and a week or so later, it was time to move. Only this time, no one showed at 9:00am. We waited until 9:30am since things happen and we figured Amel's team were held up, but needed to check their ETA and make sure we weren't forgotten. He called the guys and called back a few minutes later - he accidentally overbooked for the day. It happens and we were understanding. He said they'd be there in about an hour, around 10:40am. We waited and still, nothing. I called him back around 11:15am and he also seemed surprised they STILL weren't at our home. Now as understanding as we are, this was getting absolutely ridiculous. While on the phone with me, he said his guys just texted him and said they were 12 minutes away. Our family agreed and Amel was made aware: if these guys aren't here by 11:30am, we're cancelling as they were nearly 2.5 hours late. He understood and they arrived right on time at 11:27am. They were great and quick - very apologetic. It wasn't their fault they were late due to overbooking and they understood we were frustrated at the situation, not them. Because of them being so late, we got most of ours boxes moved inside the truck already. They helped move the 3 large things we had and the remaining random items and finished exactly an hour later.
He called a an hour later to check in on how they did and how long they spent with us. I relayed they were great and helped us with what we needed and only stayed an hour. We were only charged for an hour's work and that was it. Even know the guys were quick, the lateness still caused us to have to push our move back a full day. We planned to have a little extra time, but we were on a stricter schedule, we would have been SCREWED.
The last remaining thing I needed was an invoice as my new job was going to reimburse us for the move. I texted him and he was going to write one up for me. That was December 7th and two more texts later and I'm STILL waiting. He completely ghosted me, despite me texting again as a reminder on the 10th and 16th and relating I had a deadline. I don't know what happened, but this last interaction was hugely disappointing. Especially after all of this, just to be ignored. I bumped them down to 3 stars because of the of the great help the first time and because his team has some great guys.
Original Post 08/23 - These guys were great! We booked Amel and his company via UHaul's website to help us unpack and they were personable and laid-back, would still maintaining professionalism and were lifesavers for our family. They originally only had availability at 6:00pm at the earliest, but were able to fit us in sooner by rearranging some scheduling on their end, which made an the difference for us! We have a toddler and it was a 90°+ day and they were efficient and mindful of our belongings while engaging with our little guy. We would absolutely use Drocic's again, should we find ourselves moving again. Thanks for your help again, guys!
I can understand their truck breaking down, but there was no backup plan in place. Thank goodness we were able to find another mover on such short notice.
Booked this company to do a move more than 2 months in advance through U-Haul- Moving Help Site.
The owner of the company called us directly to tell us that we needed to move the time earlier for our move because he was “getting married the next day.” We thought that this was very poor judgement for scheduling purposes on his part but we went ahead and obliged.
He then called us again trying to move the whole date of our move we had scheduled because of his Rehearsal Dinner that he had to be at by 3 p.m. Our move was scheduled for 6 hours starting at 9 a.m. with just 2 helpers hired, which meant that we wouldn’t be getting both movers for the full 6 hours.
We decided to cancel through Moving Help site due to his complete lack of professionalism over the phone and failure to plan ahead with or follow up with his own personal schedule at U-Haul/Booking.
This is an issue that shouldn’t have been made our issue to deal with as the customer trying to move and should have been addressed directly with the U-haul- Moving Help booking.
The overall poor customer service and sense of unreliability was very apparent.
