Really awful delivery service. 3 weeks late on a delivery, had to reschedule delivery 3 times, got no warnings any of the times the delivery was going to be pushed back. I had to call and follow up myself.
It's impossible to know at checkout from a large box store (in my case, Ikea) that they contract out such unprofessional delivery services. As with the previous Google review complaints before me, we have all fallen victim to the month long turnaround from purchase to delivery. Ikea's email projections for deliveries are horribly inaccurate. After reaching out to Ikea on multiple channels (Facebook Messenger being the most effective, customer e-support 3 days behind that, and Twitter non-existent), they explained that they contract out third party delivery companies and that they have 30 days to deliver from the day they received the item from Ikea direct. Well, customers certainly aren't aware of this 30 day contract. Ellis Moving company took 2 weeks to schedule after they received my item (25 days after initial purchase) and I am currently 1.5 hrs past my delivery time frame with no phone call. I've left a vm with a Caitlin at Ellis, but I don't expect a return call per the previous reviews here. Looks like there will be a lot of back and forth with this company in my near future to receive my item....or a credit card fraud charge back if I get too frustrated. Lesson learned, if it's not Amazon don't purchase large deliveries.
Ordered a sofa bed from Ikea and like the rest of the stories here our item has been 'on a truck' in their lot waiting to be unloaded for about a week and a half now. We have guests coming to stay with us tomorrow and we still don't have their bed. We've called and actually spoken to people but continuously get different stories. We've even offered to come pick the item up hoping they would say yeah sure saves us delivery money, but still get the message that it's still not been unloaded from the truck. This service is atrocious! We will definitely be filing a formal complaint as it is now costing us money to house our guests somewhere else.
Advice Costco they would loose business if they continue to use this company. Poor customer service, no flexibility, and unprofessional. Spoke with Katlyn in the office to confirm time of delivery and driver will call 30 min earlier prior to delivery. She advise me 2 hr delay...change from 2-6 to 4-8. No one called or showed up after I took off from?
I hope nothing but the worst for these people. They get contracts with warehouses that take in orders from company's as big as IKEA and then proceed to take their sweet time in hopes that you will make the short drive over to pick it up...that way they get paid for essentially doing nothing.
My friend is in the carrier business and even said was BS. He said, waiting a week for a 30 minute drive in this town is basically them giving you the middle finger because you don't pay them and the big company you order from (which takes the blame) is not going to call them up about complaints. I filed a complaint with a company they have a contract with and another up the ladder to the people they have to satisfy. ......There's is a reason for all these bad reviews and I hope karma catches up to them real soon.
