In August, I faced the daunting task of moving. And I can confirm, all of the dramatic ‘scaries’ they say about moving ARE ALL TRUE. “It’s like ripping your life out by the roots,’ “Packing feels like dismantling your entire identity,” and the general favorite…” Moving is one of the top stressors right up there with divorce and death.” ALL TRUE!
I’ve moved before but the more life you live, the more you accumulate and by the time of this move, I had become a university professor.
They say, “Our lives are only as big as the questions we ask,” and dare I say, for me, “our moves are as heavy and complicated as the books we accumulate!” My move was a bear. After years, once it came time to move out of my little apartment, it was overrun with books. Packing seemed impossible because I couldn’t find space to put the boxes down to pack.
EMPIRE MOVERS AND STORAGE TO THE RESCUE!! I was overwhelmed, moving across states, packing…everything seemed impossible. Roman and his team arrived one morning and took more than half of my things to their storage, giving me the room I needed to start packing the remaining mountains of books. Their professionalism was outstanding—on time, efficient, and always courteous. They handled my belongings with care, including my art collection and a huge mirror I was particularly worried about.

Roman and his brother even pointed out things that were already damaged and offered helpful tips on how to fix them. They also worked with me on the price, making sure I wasn’t overwhelmed by costs.

I’m thrilled with my new job and new city but, I tell you what: if I ever move again, I will not hesitate to call Empire Movers and Storage. I can’t recommend them highly enough. They made what could have been a nightmare, a smooth and stress-free experience.
