Terrible experience! Several of my boxes were delivered upside down and these were the boxes with broken items. The other item was a piece of handmade furniture that they packed. I filled a claim and they want to give me 1/2 of what I claimed. At .60 a pound, it is still pittance and does not begin to make up for my losses. They will not provide me with a reason as to why they only want to compensate me with half of what they owe. Terrible company. They were hired through Menard's Moving Company which also has terrible customer service.
**If you recently received two extra small boxes (likely from Ernest Moving & Storage) with pink labels 97 and 99 please contact me. Google is weird about sharing info.

TLDR: Avoid. Untrustworthy.
Ernest performed my interstate move from Masschusetts to Texas. While the pick-up was pleaseant with professional packaging (and a surprise $1200 added to my bill for boxes even though I paid for their 'platinum pack' that was supposed to cover that) the delivery was horrendous.
Ernest missed my delivery date and didn't inform me. For 20 days I thought my stuff was lost. Per FMCSA regulation, they actually have to tell you in writing if they change the date which they didn't.
When they did show up with one day's notice, only one person showed up. So I was in the position to have to unload my own goods, another clear violation of the contract.
To top it all off, 2 of my boxes are missing (97 and 99) and Ernest does not respond to my emails or calls. They were violating the law by not allowing me to submit a claim.
I've successfully reported them to the federal government and will make sure to get justice for me and everyone they've mistreated.
Shame on you, Ernest Moving & Storage.
Jeff from the sales team called to give me a quote, I told him I wanted to look on Reddit for some reviews and from there he started being condescending and rude! Do not use these people.
Honestly pretty horrendous. When they arrived they tried to give me someone else's suitcase, and they've lost one of my bags. I've been unable to contact them since. Wouldn't recommend.
Awful! These guys were contacted though colonial van lines.
The guys that came to pick up my stuff were okay (compared to the drop off). One spoke zero english but the other was nice at least. Definitely didn't offer the other insurance options, which apparently they're supposed to do. Also didn't have copies of the paperwork for me so I had to take pics with my phone??
Delivery was AWFUL. Guy was not nice or helpful at all. Refused to go over any of the paperwork with me saying i had 7 days to make a claim and and now I'm being told because I didn't write anything on the paperwork they're refusing to cover most items that were damaged. They folded my king mattress in half, multiple missing boxes, damage to multiple items. Add to this that after I responded to an email review request from colonial both the driver and the owner called me to berate me for giving them a bad review. Do not use these guys....or colonial considering they Hired them.
