Review:

I can't recommend avoiding this company enough if you care about your personal property!!! I moved back in February of this year and hired Esquire to assist with the move. I had posted a review after my poor moving experience (see original review below), but agreed to remove it when the company asked that I take it down while they work with me to resolve the issue. I did not feel comfortable pulling down my review until the process was complete and things were made right by Esquire, but I did so under the impression that they would take care of me like they said. Unfortunately that is not what happened.

When I posted my original review, it was because no one from the company would get back to me about reimbursement for damages caused to my property by their movers. Almost immediately after my review was posted, a woman from Esquire named Sandra reached out to me and told me they would take care of me and make things right. The first call was extremely pleasant and I felt that I was in good hands with Sandra. Sandra seemed to be very understanding of my situation and told me to take my time to unpack and make sure there was no additional damages to report before we moved the process along. A couple weeks later, Sandra called me and was extremely rude, which was very different from my previous experiences with her. It was like dealing with a completely different person. After we got off the phone I was confused about that interaction. Not even a couple minutes after hanging up, Sandra called me back and was pleasant again. She apologized and said she had dialed the wrong customer with the same name. She then told me I was one of Esquires 'special customers' and for me to take my time sorting through things to confirm there were no additional damages to report. Very odd interaction and concerning how rude she was to me on the first call that day when she thought she was talking to someone else. This was eye opening knowing how bad they could treat their customers.

Sandra offered to send Esquire's handyman to my house to look at the floors to do repairs, but she also said I could bring in my own person if I felt more comfortable doing so. I didn't feel good about her handyman, so I brought the company back that originally refinished my floors before my move. They inspected the damages to the wood floors throughout my house and said the only way to fix them right would be to refinish them again completely. This was quoted at $2100. That does not include the cost of my other property that was destroyed by the movers.

I provided the quote to Sandra and she immediately got nasty with me again and told me there was no way they were going to pay for that. I have several scratches on my wood floors throughout my house because the movers were careless and slid boxes and furniture around. My wife and I witnessed it multiple times throughout the moving day, which is actually how we discovered the first couple scratches while the movers were still here.

Sandra became increasingly hostile and unprofessional, which eventually led to someone else reaching out to me and 'handling' the situation. They asked that I allow them to send out their handy man just so he could assess the damage to the floors and provide another quote to compare. After my experience with this company, I did not want anyone from Esquire in my house, let alone do work on my property. Even though I was not comfortable with it, I agreed to their request and had their handyman over to take a look. The handyman acknowledged the damages and agreed it was caused by the movers. After time went on with no word from Esquire, I decided to follow up to see what was going on. I received a reply that their movers did not (and could not have) damaged my floors because they wouldn't slide anything around. As I mentioned previously, my wife and I saw them doing this dozens of times through the moving day. They proceeded to tell me that it was actually my wife and I that scratched the floors by sliding boxes on them. We did not do that. (Full review continued in pictures)

Review:

We just had the full service (including both full packing and unpacking) long distance moving to Boston 3 days ago, the experience is so smooth and wonderful, the two movers (Rene & Roel) deserve a thumbs up, they both did it so efficient and professional, they are very attentive and careful, nothing break/lost during the entire moving service, also made our moving super effortless, basically we didn’t have to pack or unpack a single box (except we chose to do the closet ourselves). Special thanks to them!

However I don’t recommend booking the cleaning service together. We originally booked also the cleaning service on the day of delivery, discussed with CS prior that the cleaners to come after unpacking finishes, however they came to our building right after delivery done, before any unpacking. And the CS blamed me on the phone it was my problem of having too much stuff, made the unpacking delayed (wasn’t I booking all services with the same company? ) this made me so frustrated and in the end decided to cancel the cleaning service instead
