Review:

All and all, a seamless moving experience. But keep in mind that the quote you get from EuroUSA is lower than the actual cost, and the actual delivery time will be longer. Plan accordingly. So, don't just go by how many boxes or size of containers (during your estimate). Ask Ken the cost per square cubic feet instead. Keep in mind, they will probably package some of your items with bulky multi-layered paper packaging to add to the volume, and I believe the wooden crates add volume and extra costs too. It's not the weight that determines the cost -- it's the volume multiplied by square cubic feet. If you pack using luggages, it will add a lot of unnecessary paper wrapping and therefore cost. Use heavy duty boxes instead. Our shipment arrived in exactly 4 months (almost 3 months in a warehouse on the East Coast in the USA). Wish we knew this at the time. Hope this review will help you.

In our case, it was upwards of around $35 per sq. cubic feet. Communications was good. The shipping company in Europe will email you periodically. Don't worry about Ken's website that you used to pay your invoice. Online portal won't tell you anything.

Gotta say, EuroUSA made the Customs process very easy with a few forms. Other companies made it sound like a nightmare with us having to a find our own agent?! Some of the questions are a bit confusing. Ken was very good helping us demystify and explaining the real process. All the boxes arrived safely although very beaten up. So, please use sturdy strong boxes and tape things well. They will be very beaten up by the time you get them. And nothing will be in a crate by the time you see it either. Had we known, I would have packed differently and better. Don't use large boxes as they will be crushed.

Also, keep in mind that by the time the delivery arrives at your door, the costs can be higher. If there are ANY stairs, elevators, any extra work, extra steps, you will feel nickeled and dimed. You won't even have time to count the number of boxes as I got a very dirty look by the movers. They want you to sign about 8 signatures fast and they leave. The movers literally took each box and drop it off indoors within a few steps of their truck. Anything more will cost you. The whole drop off took no more than 15 minutes in our case.

After a recommendation by a friend to work with EuroUSA Shipping Inc. to move 180 boxes of books and household items from Oregon to rural Central Italy, we were contacted by Ken Treschitta who promptly took care of everything. Once we settled on a date for the move and a price, the packing was done very professionally and even though we were given a time frame of 8-10 weeks and our stuff arrived after 16 weeks, we received everything in perfect condition and delivered at home. The only small hiccups happened on the European side, between the contacts with the people in Rotterdam and the deposit in Rome, but eventually everything arrived. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone who makes a big move of this sort: the price was absolutely reasonable, and all was handled with a minimum of stress for us. Our contact person, Ken Treschitta was extremely professional, friendly, and helpful throughout the entire process. Thanks again!
