We moved our stuff (furnitures and other personal items) from Charleston SC (USA) to Pau (south of France) over last summer. Ken Treschitta has been key, he and his team have been fantastic, showing flexibility when it was necessary and finding the right solution each time it was required. The process from A to Z has been flawless with great communication and an awesome service. Ken and the team were pleasure to work with. I had received a few quotes from other companies that were pushy and unpleasantly demanding. Ken was calm and clear. Our movers were incredibly professional. They brought all the packing materials and packed with care.
I will say, they did tend to err on the side of more packing material so if you are worried about cost and space is a concern (if you're not getting a full container) please pack a few boxes beforehand yourself. All credit to my partner who really spent time packing up the kitchen etc. The final push was done by the movers and as I mentioned, they were fantastic. Once we arrived at our destination in France we received emails and information about who would be delivering our goods and even where our ship was.
We also received everything within the time frame we wanted which was about 2.5 months. The company here in Rotterdam was also quite pleasant to work with.
Our stuff arrived in nearly perfect shape. There was one big plastic moving tub that was cracked but we expected at least one item, and thankfully all that was within that tub was perfectly fine. We didn't have to use our insurance but we were very happy we took it.
TL:DR Overall a relatively painless experience. If you're not getting a full container and want to respect your cubic feet, plan to pack more boxes yourselves. We left a few for the movers and packers and they were a great team. The time frame and communication was respected. And in general no news is good news. Get the insurance, focus on your move and expect at least 2-3 months to wait for your stuff. Moving to Europe is an ordeal but truly worth it :) Ken and the team at EuroUSA made it easier.
Many, many thanks to Ken Treschitta and the entire team for organizing our shipment to France. Our belongings were taken from our place in Washington State on April 10th and on July 1st they were at our destination address in France. Everything went extremely well, no additional paperwork requested after the departure of the shipment, and no other fees. Just as promised. Great communication along the way: we were constantly informed about the status of our shipment. All our emails questions were answered in a timely manner. Many thanks as well to the team that brought our things from Rotterdam to our destination address in France by car. If you want a stress-free experience, do not go any further: they are the best!
Highly recommend this service, Ken was kind, respectful, attentive, and always made sure my questions were answered. A stark difference to other companies I received quotes from. I moved from Brooklyn to France, it took a few months but I was not in a rush. Price is a bit on the higher side but worth the peace of mind (movers re-packed my things, brought all the material, moved out everything quickly) and no hidden fees.
Our move from Los Angeles to France went flawlessly thanks to EuroUSA. I can't recommend Ken enough for ensuring all of our belongings were safe in the move.
