Extra Space Storage

I rented my storage unit online which was quick and easy. I was able to pick the unit on a map which I liked.
Access thru the gate can be done on a keypad or with the app if you're at the gate.
People in the office are super nice and very willing to help.
I highly recommend this place to rent from.

I recently utilized Extra Space Storage and, unfortunately, my experience was less than satisfactory. Initially, I was drawn in by competitive pricing; however, I quickly discovered a troubling 'bait and switch' tactic. The rates I was quoted upon signing up increased significantly every 60 to 90 days, which feels deceptive and frustrating for customers who expect consistency and transparency in pricing.

Additionally, the entrance to the facility located on Route 11 is hazardous, presenting safety concerns that should be addressed. The lack of clear (temporary) signage and the busy traffic in the area make accessing the facility quite annoying, especially for those with larger vehicles.

Another drawback is the limited access hours. Unlike competitors such as Sunapee Self Storage, Extra Space Storage does not offer 24-hour access. This restriction can be quite inconvenient for individuals who may need to retrieve or store items outside of standard business hours.

Overall, while the facility itself is clean and well-maintained, the issues with pricing, access, and safety significantly detract from the overall experience. I would recommend considering other options that offer more transparency and better accessibility.
