Had to change my review for the 3rd time. Rented a 10x15 last May for 168. 2 months later raised it to 208. Kinda scummy since I just moved in and would have to pay movers to move but not like what happened this month. 9 months into my experience with them. They have now raised my rent to 302 which 60% raise in 9 months. Told they can since it’s in my contract. CT state law prohibits them from raising more than 10% in 12 months. Received no notice because it was sent to wrong address. All the bills seem to find my email just fine but not the rent increase.
Don’t say you weren’t warned. Staff is fine and I have no doubt not in control of pricing but that doesn’t matter. She’s getting caught in middle. Easy to file suit in CT and yes it takes time but even if I get 10 dollars it will be worth this company having a judgement against them. Plenty of competitors where even if they raised rent 100% which they won’t it would be cheaper.
