The good:
Staff at this location is pleasant, especially Sam.
Good security measures in place.
Convenient location.

The bad:
Billing practices are unethical at best, if not illegal. You have to pay multiple months in advance to “lock in/guarantee” the same rate for following months. If you decide to empty your unit in advance of the date through which you paid, you will not be refunded. Ex: pay 4 months in advance to avoid unexpected increases but decide to move out after 2 months; Extra Space keeps the full 4 months that you paid.

I had 2 units at this location from June 2024 to March 2025. After paying my first month, I noticed that the upcoming charge for July was double the prior month. I called the office to get some answers and was told my first month was promotional pricing; this was definitely not true. After some back and forth I was told that unless I started paying several months in advance, the monthly rates were subject to price increases. 30 day notice of the increase is supposedly made via mailed letter from corporate; I never received a single letter of course. From that point on I made sure to pay 2 months at a time to “lock in” my original rate. Fast forward to today; I empty both units, expecting to be refunded for the 3 remaining weeks I paid for, only to learn that money for unused time would not be refunded. Really shady practice. Buyer beware!
