Extra Space Storage

I phoned extra space today regarding a rate increase postcard. I spoke with Chris about this hardship with payment and the fact that we were never told there would be a rate
Increase after 3 months. Increase is one thing but doubling the rate is kind of extreme! I want to give Chris a shout out for being kind, professional and his understanding of our situation. Rented here for a few months during a home Reno project. Renting was easy and painless and the move out was as well. The unit was clean despite being outside it was climate controlled and no insects were found on any of our things. Would rent here again if needed.

I have rented a few different storage units over the years and I have NEVER dealt with such a greedy mfer as I did dealing with Chris at Extra Space Storage by Baytown. I shopped around for an affordable climate controlled 10x20 unit. He wanted $168. Not even 2 months after getting this unit he upped my rent to $241! That’s almost $100 more and then he upped it again to almost $300! My rent nearly doubled in less than a year! The gentleman at my new unit said he would never up the rent on any of his customers and his units are actually climate controlled and I only pay $150! At Extra Space, Chris is greedy and only out for himself. Make sure you pay on time because if you’re late due to unforeseen circumstances, they instantly put your unit into auction then charge you an arm and a leg to get it out. I would NEVER recommend this storage facility. If I could give zero stars I would.
