Nothing but issues at this place, When I signed up, I did it over the phone with their customer service. The customer service on the phone was super nice, they weren’t stationed at the location.
So on my move-in day, they had text me a code the night before which did not work When I went there on move day.
I went to go to the office and no one was there. It said they would be back at a time that had already passed. So I had to call customer service again and they did a bunch of stuff and we’re finally able to get me into my unit after about 30 minutes, I then took about another 30 minutes to get all my stuff moved in & The employee had still not returned to the office.
So then after I paid my third month rent, I get a notice that my rent cost is doubling. I had a very small unit and it was going from $42 a month to $84 a month. I reached out to that location and they said that it’s in the contract that they can increase the rent at any time. I said wait. The lady on the phone told me that this would be my locked in price and it wouldnt increase, I understand what the contract says, but someone verbally told me something different when I asked, and the calls are recorded for quality training purposes So could they listen to the call and lock in my rate?they told me they were going to bubble it up.
A week past and no one called me back so I called again. They told me that they were going to meet me in the middle and had gotten it approved to pay $62 a month. I told them I didn’t wish to pay $62 a month, someone from their company literally told me my rate would be $42. I know it’s not a huge difference, but I am a single mom and I had just locked into this other price three months ago. He told me that that unit goes for $160 so they were really giving me a deal at $62. I looked on the website and saw the same unit being offered for $40.
I asked to speak to a district manager, and they told me someone would call me, It’s been two weeks and no one has.
So today, I’m moving all my stuff out As my $62 payment is due tomorrow and I’m not paying it.
So if you’re considering renting a unit from here, Just keep in mind that they can raise the rent at any time with a 30 day notice. The employees are rarely in the office, And the higher up people do not care to call and take care of their customers. No one was ever nice to me Except for that initial customer service associate who swindled me into signing a contract by lying to me.
So far excellent didn’t have to wait got what I wanted couldn’t ask for more
