Not every Extra Space storage is the same. I got myself a 10x7 best decision ever! Manager Nate made everything everything painless. The flat bed carts are huge. They have a Bay Area you can pull into incase it’s raining or snowing while you move in or out. Climate controlled !!!! No downsides sooo far!

Extra Space Storage (W
130th St) made renting storage space a piece of cake. I was able to reserve my space online and no contact upon arrival. The lock was free, and waiting in my unit- a unit inspection card was attached. The building is air conditioned, there is an elevator, multiple keypad, secured, entrances, with dollys available to use - right at the doorway!! The online prices are amazing and reasonable and they offer the customers, an option to change units, if you arrive and need something bigger/smaller. I would definitely recommend!!

So easy to set up.

Please don’t patronize me by calling it an inconvenience. Your bait and switch cost me to lose a lot of my things since everything wouldn’t fit in the unit I was downgraded to.
Over a month later and the gate is still broken and all of the ‘secured’ doors are still taped open

I reserved and paid for a unit online, to save time. I received an email with a gate code, unit #, etc so I head up there. Code is saying ‘invalid’ (the gate is actually still broken so it stays open but I wanted to make sure everything was working). I go in the office and there’s a line. So I wait. The gentleman working explains the gate is broken not to worry about it and proceeds to tell me where my key is. So I go back to the unit I was assigned and I can clearly tell it’s full of stuff and there’s no key in sight, because the units not available, duh. So I go back to the office, wait in line and tell him it’s occupied. He says he’ll meet me at the unit. After a good while, he meets me there and confirms that I, in fact, am not an idiot and the unit was in fact already rented. We go back to the office where he tells me that (shocker!) there’s none available in the size I paid for but they have the tiny size or the big size. Of course! Refused to give me the bigger one for the same rate AND when I said I’d just take a refund he told me that they don’t really go refunds so it would take about 6 weeks for a paper check BUT he would be WILLING TO WAIVE THE TRANSFER FEE FOR ME. How sweet and generous to waive a fee that was incurred because you overbooked. Lol so he then said he’d meet me at the new Tiny unit. Thirty minutes later……
The gate does not work it stays open and none of the doors to the units are secure there’s all taped so they don’t latch or lock.
Lastly- who decided to put a little curb/lip where people need to get a dolly through??‍♀️
