I had rented various sized storage units there for over 10 yrs. I was there years before any of their managers came on board and even though the apartments around it were a little rough I always felt my belongings were SAFE and SECURE (gated storage with security cameras everywhere, etc) ... My unit was about 5 doors from the managers apt with his onsite noise making dog Toby. Always liked Randy. Last year around November that all changed. I had a blood clot that shut down my left side ..... I'm in hospital recovering and get a call from manager telling me several units were broken into including mine. When I could later get to the complex ..... I discover my garage size space has been broken into and basically cleaned out. I kept hvac tools, electronic test meters, spare cameras, videos, welding type equipment, several mechanics tool chests, expensive mountain bike, power tools, drills, couple of filing cabinets with personal papers, records, expired credit cards and old tax returns, coins and cash in a small safe, etc. I figure I probably lost $20k worth of belongings. Insurance paid me about $3,500. ......... How about the security / They told me the front gate was broke so they had it kind of chained or blocked open. THEN they tell me the cameras were broke AND there was no record of ANYONE coming or going. In short the facility was WIDE OPEN 24/7. I was told their security stuff had been broken for several WEEKS and the owner down in Texas was still taking bids for repair. UNBELIEVABLE. It took a small truck to get my stuff out of there and with managers office 5 spaces away, NO cameras, NO security coded gate, etc IT felt real HOOKIE like there was either some sort of collusion with someone in house. I've since heard other tenants say the same sort of thing happened to them, AND none of us were warned to be on the lookout. Could not recommend this place to anyone. Still discussing possible breach of contract lawsuit with attornies over this (they advertis 24/7 security BUT it was NOT there when needed). Tentant BEWARE ............................
