Extra Space Storage

Storage is perfectly clean and nice staff

There have been so many positives so far with Extra Space Storage, but we are freshly in, so I truly hope they continue to do right. We have rented large units for more than 40 years, and I used to manage a storage company years back myself. Extra Space Storage overall exterior design is eye catching, love the color scheme and modern look. It's super clean, also brand new, so I hope they continue to upkeep and maintain the space. The prices and closer location are what got us to switch from where we have been loyal to for decades. I truly hope they stay true to their pricing and don't bait and switch everyone after a few months. I'm skeptical that they don't allow contract pricing so that you know what your rate will be for at least a year at a time. The ability to get side by side units also a huge plus. The height of the units is also a nice feature! It is different that you have to puchase their locking mechanism. The 4 things that made our all-day move-in much more frustrating and tedious than it needed to be are as follows: 1) the elevator is quite small for hauling items into storage, but worse is the entry to the elevator is so narrow we had a hard time getting the tubs and boxes thru the door. 2) lack of trash cans, there were none that we could locate. 3) restroom access. If your spending hours moving into your facility, there should be access to a restroom, let alone a sink to wash your hands. 4) the MOST frustrating of all, there is no way to allow the doors to stay open...its 100% annoying to have to punch in your code every time you walk from your moving truck to the door to bring in items especially after 7 hours and 3 moving trucks later. We asked if they could keep it open for us while standing at the entrance and they denied the service where every
where else we have been have always provided that service. Food for thought and we are hoping to utilize this facility for more decades to come.
