Extra Space Storage

WARNING... DO NOT BID ON AUCTIONED UNITS AT THIS LOCATION!

The employees would not give me access the first day because they wanted to go home early. They refused to unlock the unit after I paid for it and told me to come back again the next day during business hours. This was a Friday evening.

I arrived on Saturday, they gave me a code for gate access and unlocked the unit. When I Opened the unit I noticed that some items were moved around. The unit was not in the same condition as the pictures were for the auction. Although it appeared that someone had gone through the unit prior to giving me access, I couldn't tell if anything was missing. I loaded some items into the truck and locked up the unit. I was supposed to have access through Sunday according to the auction terms so I planned on returning then to clear out the rest of the unit.

When I arrived on Sunday the access code did not work at the gate. The facility was closed on Sunday so I had to call the 800 number for customer service. Customer service told me that they could not give me access but they will notify the facility that I couldn't get in and that I would have Monday to finish clearing the unit.

When I called the facility on Monday to verify that I had access and let them know that I'll be there soon, The employee began yelling at me telling me that I failed to clear out the unit on Saturday so they donated all of the items to charity. They told me my access was limited to Saturday only and refused to listen to me or verify the auction terms that gave me through Sunday. They told me not to come to the property and ended the conversation by hanging up on me.

When I contacted the auction company, storage treasures, they told me my account was suspended and I can no longer bid on any auctions because this facility reported me for not clearing out the unit as required after the auction.

The employees at this facility denied me access to the auction unit that I won and paid for on the first day and the last day I had to clear it out. They reported me for not clearing the unit which has since caused the auction company to ban me from any further auctions.

I contacted extra space storage customer service multiple times leaving messages every time with the call center asking for the district manager or anybody to contact me regarding this matter. Never once did I receive a call back from anyone.

The employees at this facility are thieves and liars. I would NOT recommend bidding on any auctions or renting any storage units from here..
