I like their storage place in Milpitas. I would have loved to give it a 5 star as my moving process with them was smooth . But for now I would like to reserve the additional stars for later. The storage units are available in different sizes to suit your needs and the security at the Milpitas one seems to be good compared to other venues. However, this company does not value long-term customers !

It appears as if this company is not interested in retaining or valuing old customers while they provide better rates to new customers to attract them ! They are not willing to work with the loyal clients to give them better rates.

There is no transparency about the frequent raise of rent when you first start your association with them !

It is better to have a short-termed association with this storage company as the rates are not locked or capped.

Being month-to-month, the rates are unnecessarily raised frequently for profit. Agreed that the rate fluctuates according to the market but if that were truly the case, then it would not have happened after a definite period of time. It’s so regimental that their rates rise after a fixed period just to suit them !

In the beginning they attract customers with their attractive initial rates but only to mislead them into paying more later as the years go by. Since 2023, the on-site customer service is not the same as before.

For long term storage Extra Space Storage Milpitas should have give an option for a locked rate or an approximate forecast of the rise of rent in the year when someone first connects with them. Also the city or county should not allow companies to overcharge customers and rates should be capped as the longer you are with them the more they will charge you !

On a positive note, I would like to conclude that the Extra Space Storage at Milpitas is clean and conveniently located. I chose this storage place only because of that and the initial customer service provided to me. I would still recommend it for its location and cleanliness but certainly not for its fluctuating rates. I wish they would have better rates for long term customers so as to reward their loyalty.
