Needed space after hurricane Helene wiped out our house. First 4 months were $53 for a 5x8. Without ANY notice they raised rate to $96/mo which is nearly twice the going rate, what a racket!

Was bad enough having to find space to store the things you could save after a hurricane, even worse to have a company take complete advantage of your situation. If it was possible to give NO STARS I would!

I will never rent a space again from Extra Space or any others they own including Life Storage or Storage Express.

If you rent a space from them KEEP AN EYE ON YOUR BILLING!!!

Found climate controlled 5x8 at Storquest literally 2 blocks east for $35 on a promotional rate for 6mo OR $46 if you just walked in off the street. When I inquired with Extra Space why the rate had almost DOUBLED I was told by chat that they often look around to remain competitive! So for one third of their new rate I'll be moving 2 blocks east where at the very least I know what the rate will be for the first 6 months and THEY DO let you know 30 days out if the rate is going to increase unlike Extra Space who just do it until you figure it out, bad way of doing business.
