We’re long term storage customers at this facility. Since Kevin has arrived, our service has improved 100%. He’s always checking the property making sure all units are locked, area is clean & safe. He’s very personable & has helped us add/close units as needed.
Place is secure, clean. I have stopped by a few times to remove or add items, and the space is always as I left it. I would have no problem using this facility again. By
The on-site people were very helpful when I needed questions answered. But I now I’m left with a bad taste in my mouth because of the postcard that I received. It stated that there’s be a price increase for my unit. My unit went from $35 per month to $70 per month; a 100% increase. And that increase would take effect the very next month. The contract does allow Extra Space Storage to do that. They’re well within their rights to do that. But, although I’m not accusing them of this, it feels like a ‘Bait & Switch’. I’d only had that unit for 3 months. The postcard also stated that my introductory rate (or something to that effect) had expired. I had no introductory rate. I called the local office to let them know that the price I got from the website, which was confirmed on the contract, was the only rate given to me. Any information regarding an introductory rate would’ve also included the final rate and an introductory rate period. That was not my situation. I felt that telling me I should expect this rate change was an attempt to mislead me. Or maybe they shouldn’t have sent this information to everyone. Some people it may actually apply to. But if you care about your customers you: (1) Don’t mislead them or (2) Send them information that’s specific to them. Once again, they have the right to change the rate but, for the reasons I mentioned, it just leaves a sour taste in my mouth.To summarize: It feels like they give low prices to hook you, then you move all your stuff in there. Then, BAM! Rate increase. And again, not saying with any level of certainty that they’re doing this. But it sure feels like it to me. One last thing. I would’ve given a 5 star rating because I absolutely love the unit, and how close it is to the building entry door.
