Fairmount Car & Truck Rentals

Please rent with caution!!! Rented with this company and paid for insurance on the vehicle. I did so because of the cash discount they offer. So figured I’d pay for the insurance with the $ saved by paying cash

Apparently the insurance is good for nothing! Fairmount sent me from Hackensack NJ to Boston Massachusetts with a truck that even the front desk receptionist admitted (after the fact of course) was not suited to make that trip. Long story short truck was being driven at no more than 60/65 mph the whole way and eventually one of the tires got a flat. Immediately pulled over and contacted Fairborn rental

No problem I thought, this is what insurance is for!! Think again. My trip to Boston was completely ruined as the truck wasn’t able to make it and if I can remember correctly very limited accommodations were made. At first they claimed someone from Fairmount would come and pickup - that option was quickly out the window.

Fast forward 1 month and my car was charged over $8000!!!

Apparently a flat tire and unrelated mechanical issues were fault of my own. Of course cc company eventually was able to successfully dispute but please please rent with caution. This could be you !!

Started with a reservation with I-Haul. Needed a bigger truck and they wanted to send me to Newark. Not my favorite place to go. My brother in law say try Fairmount. I call them up and long story short they had what I needed. I cannot say enough good things. Yes they are busy in the morning so if you call you have to be patient. I went in person and they were friendly and efficient. I got a new truck and it was a pleasure to use on my move to PA from Jersey. I dropped it off and dealt with Patrick. What a pleasure he was. Stop wasting your time with the other companies. You want to use this family owned business.. Support local like I did and you will not be sorry!!! PS time for the boss to give Patrick a raise he is that awesome!!!
