Took a great care of my staff. I was mostly worried about my 55-gal aquarium, but there was no scratch on it! Yay!

A terrible experience. We contracted with Federal Moving Corp. to move household goods from DC to Albuquerque. They picked up the furniture one day late (not too bad). Delivery was over a month late - a month of camping out without furniture, clothes, and kitchen equipment. Our delivery window was August 1, 2019 to August 7, 2019. On August 8th, the furniture was still in a warehouse in either New York or Brooklyn (despite repeated requests, they never told us where our furniture was).

Communication about when our goods would be put on a truck was dreadful. We would call, then be told they would call us back when they'd checked with the dispatcher (the person we spoke with often said 'I don't want to keep you on hold while I'm checking.'). Unfortunately, they would never call back. They were too busy and did not have enough trucks to deliver our goods in a timely manner.

Finally, they used a subcontractor, who delivered the furniture on September 7 - OVER A MONTH LATE. The subcontractor called the day before delivery to say that unless we paid $950 IN ADDITION TO THE CONTRACT PRICE, and paid him in a money order with the name of the payee left blank, he would 'turn the truck around and take your furniture back to New York.' At no time had Federal Moving, or anyone else, informed us that there would be costs over and above the contracted rate. Nor did they provide us with an explanation for the additional costs. We spoke with Manuk Torosyan, an official at Federal Moving Corp, who did not have an explanation for the added costs. After much debate, he agreed to reduce the additional charges to $320. We did not believe we owed this, but paid because the subcontractor was holding our furniture hostage.

It got worse. On the day of the move, the subcontractor demanded an additional $550 to move the furniture into the apartment. Our contract provided for door to door service that included use of an elevator at the destination and reassembly of furniture that the movers had disassembled in DC. We refused to pay $550 for a service included in the contract. The subcontractor then unloaded an apartment's worth of furniture and left it on the curb. We had to hire another service to move the furniture into the apartment.

This company is a complete nightmare. They lied for weeks about our delivery date, told us they had no idea where our belongings were, and then tried to get us to pay triple the original estimate to release our things. We ended up filing a federal complaint, and having to consult lawyers and threaten a lawsuit. I’ve heard from other families whose things vanished for months. Truly insane, not to mention illegal. To top it off, when they finally delivered they started giving us someone else’s boxes. Hire someone else—anyone else.

I am a manager at a storage facility and this was the worst experience i have ever had with a moving company. From the time the guy showed up until he left he was a problem. Apparently they showed up the night before in the semi truck with my tenants property and decided that they could not fit in my breezeway so they charged her another 500 dollars to transfer her items to a uhaul. I have had a 13ft high Mayflower semi truck in my loading area that had no problem getting in and out, so either these guys dont know how to drive or they just wanted to scam her for more money. SHAMELESS!! He proceeded to park the uhaul in my loading area and left the property, effectively blocking other people from getting in, they had to go to the back side and drive in the exit. Then while he was unloading into the elevator he demanded that i hold open my glass sliding doors. These are a security measure which needs a gate code for them to open, he was upset he had to keep punching in the code. I explained that no i could not 'hold them open' and then he tried to block them open with a cart! I then explained he absolutely cannot do that because it will break the doors and he had the balls to argue with me about it! I caught him doing it again a little bit later and once again he argued with me about it! I would absolutely NOT recommend this company to anyone!
