I cannot recommend First Class Moving and Storage highly enough!! Forty-nine years of collectibles and furniture packed up and moved from Chicago to Dallas. Seven men and two trucks. Everything was packed professionally; even the most fragile and the heaviest items arrived without a problem. They packed and unpacked it all, often towards the end asking me what else did I need done. It all went so smoothly, above and beyond my expectations! And I am SO pleased!!
I rarely write negative reviews to companies but thought that my experience warranted this.
I used this company back in December of 2021 to move me out and put me into their storage facility. The crew was nice and quick considering that it was a horrible snowy day. I moved into my new home in August of 2022 and again the crew was nice to work with. In unpacking my boxes that went straight from my old home to their storage facility to my new residence , which I had no access to, I noticed there were at least 3 boxes missing from my kitchen and hallway. I was emptying boxes and started noticing where is this item and that item, which I had packed myself. I also noticed that one of my crystal lamps was chipped from the bedroom which they had packed and unpacked themselves. I then called to let the office manager Heidi know and was instructed to send a detailed itemized list of the items that were missing and damaged. No reply to follow up email no answer on voicemail.
A month later I received a letter stating stating that my issues had been sent to the claims processing team and a response could be expected in 30 days.
almost 6 months later I have yet to hear from the company or office manager.

I used First Class Moving & Storage, Inc for a second time in the summer of 2022 because I had such an outstanding experience with them the first time they moved me in 2016. The difference this time is that I stored all of my belongings for several months because my new condo was under construction. First Class broke the leg of one of my favorite benches, and more importantly, they lost several of my boxes. What surprised me most was their nonchalant attitude about the damage and the loss, saying that their system is full-proof and the error could not have been on their end. I can guarantee that a Nespresso maker, a king-size comforter, half of my every-day dishes, and several other smaller items were put on their trucks and were not delivered to my new apartment. Because I had such a wonderful experience with them during my first move, I was so surprised and disappointed with their lack of care regarding the lost items. Needless to say I was not reimbursed for the damaged bench or the lost items. To my great surprise and disappointment, the First Class front office was unprofessional, unresponsive, and borderline rude.

Here's how our interaction went. We called, booked a date, and scheduled an estimate. We received the estimate, and immediately called to confirm that amount was fine. We were told the computer systems were currently 'down' and were told we'd get a call back right away. Waited 24 hours and nothing. Called back. Said the estimate was fine, and were told again they had computer issues and to please hold.
We were then told they didn't have our date or name (a lie as the estimator arrived knowing our name and date) and never received our deposit...not during the initial call or at any point during the estimate were we asked to pay a deposit. We were left having wasted weeks, scrambling, and clearly lied to on multiple occasions.
If you want a reliable mover, don't use First Class.
