Super helpful, from customer service to the movers onsite. We truly appreciate the continued patience and flexibility they provided.

My second time using them, and they are amazing. The move quickly, but take great care in what they do. I opted to have them pack most of my things, and they packed them so well. They took down my bed frame, then re-set it up at the new place. The two that moved me were very good at what they do, and also very professional. Moving in any capacity is stressful, but they made it far easier. If we every have to do it again, I will have. them do it. Also, the customer service to set-up the appointment were very knowledgable and great to work with. Thanks to all involved at FlatRate.

Unfortunately, I had a horrible experience with FlatRate this week. Which is a shame because my previous experience was kind of perfect. It took them two whole days to move my 2-bedroom apartment, when it was scheduled to take one. Instead of offering me a discount for the inconvenience, they charged me for a second day!

The local movers they hired were courteous and friendly but extremely slow and disorganized. Plus, they damaged some of my furniture and were generally quite careless with my things. Part of why it took an extra day was that they didn't bring any extra boxes or leave extra room in the truck, which every mover I've used in the past 20 years has done.

I think this is ultimately a problem with FlatRate's new business model: Instead of doing a walkthrough, they rely on an inventory list. I used the same list from my last move with them so it should have been accurate. But apparently it has to be far more detailed than it was to get an accurate estimate. This whole approach is so flawed. I will not be using them again in the future.
