BEWARE! THIS IS A SKETCHY & UNSCRUPULOUS MOVING COMPANY! We originally hired Florida Smart Movers, LLC in July, 2021, to PACK and move the contents of our condo into storage. We hired them again on August 10th and August 11th to move all of our belongings from storage to our new condo. This move was absolutely horrendous, many badly damaged and broken pieces of furniture along with items we never received. In fact, we received items, including furniture pieces that didn’t even belong to us. This is a condo and another unit was moving out as we were moving in. Throughout the entire move, which took their crew more than 11 hours with 4 men was not even completed. They didn’t even complete setting up our furnishings they originally disassembled. We had a dedicated freight elevator for our use only, witnessed and confirmed by on-site property manager. As a result, because they did not complete the job by 4:30pm, we had to forfeit our $300 elevator security deposit. Keep in mind, our contents moved, was just for a 2 bedroom condo! All throughout the move, we were in contact with the so called manager, Art Melnikov, who was useless to us when he wasn’t completely ignoring us, to explain and send him pictures of the damaged or broken pieces of furniture, including a new king sized mattress, missing items and items that did not belong to us. The company, including the manager and the crew kept attempting to pass the buck to how the company’s previous crew, Finally, Art Melnikov, asked us what we would like in the form of compensation. We simply told him we wanted our badly damaged furniture repaired or replaced, the return of our forfeited elevator security deposit of $300 and compensation for our missing items. He then made an appointment to come to our condo to inspect twice, once with a no show. Since that day, a week following the move, he has completely ignored us, refuses our phone calls and no responses to our emails and text messages.
If you cherish your belongings, want an honest, reliable and trustworthy moving company, don’t use this company!
