The most horrible experience a human can have. Worst than dying being cut to pieces with a nail clipper. The subcontractor speaks like a tough who is managing a business from prison, disrespectful, arrogant, impatient, obtuse and a nightmare.

When my husband and I made the drastic decision of retiring to Polk County, Florida from New York City---the first part of our journey began with long hours of research for affordable, reliable and professional movers. Our friends and family warned us about the many cons and risks of contracting a moving company. We were strongly advised that hauling our own belongings was the ONLY secure way to transport our furnishings. Not only were we relocating during the worse pandemic in the history of the US, but now we were apprehensive about choosing the right company. Well, I am happy to announce that our story has a happy ending. Our extensive research and scrutiny paid off. FRAGILE MOVING INCORPORATED eased our fears and assured us that we would not be disappointed. Their team of experts picked up, disassembled, wrapped and provided us with a complete inventory. We were pleasantly surprised when we received the notification letting us know that our MOVERS were arriving as expected. Once again, our furniture was assembled and placed where indicated. We would definitely recommend their services to our friends and family! Kudos to Fragile Moving and their team! A+!

It is a shame that so many oyhers have experienced such similar instances; obviously my experience isn't personal, but their company's standard.

THE ABSOLUTE WORST EXPERIENCE I HAVE HAD (and I have moved interstate 10x)

The driver showed up to my apartment, repriced my move saying their original estimate was too low (mind you, the revision was more than compeitors now), charged me for an extra 2 flight of stairs because my front door was elevated (despite my seeing them use the back door which was level). I let it be, because miving cross country is exausting and they came recommended.

They came to my final destination late because they claimed they could not get another trip out that way and the truck wasn't full. I was given no specific date. Then the driver calls the day of saying he is there to deliver my items; I am at work and cannot get out to meet him on such short notice. My family and I had been living on the floor for 2 weeks at this point, so I pleaded that they redeliver the following day since they gave me only a few hrs notice. They charged an additional fee.

I leave work. Meet the driver with a bank certified money order because the post office did not do them. The driver rejects it and the office gives me the option to pay another fee so they can unload my belongings into a storage unit and then 'try' to get out there again.

Several weeks later I am contacted and told they are not coming back out because they had no additional work this way. I was told I'd have to pay them for the full move PLUS the storage fee and they will give me the information for the storage unit. Then I'd have 24 hrs to get my belongings out of storage. I told them no; if I was paying for the full move I was getting a full move.

Several stressful weeks, now it's been 2 months. I get a call while I'm at work; the driver is here trying to make a delivery now and will only accept cash. I reference the contract and make arrangements to have the delivery made the following day, causing me to lose a day's work. I drive 1 hr out to get a money order from the post office.

The driver shows. Now, the crew at my point of origin was 1 lead and 4 guys. This crew? And older guy and his son in an unmarked 6 ft uhaul, while his daughter sits in the cab.

As they unload I find my belongings are destroyed. Boxes crushed, wood furniture scratched, a desk corner horribly damaged, a desk chair ripped, a scratched flat-screen tv (because the tv box and packaging was damaged), mattresses in mattress bags were stained because the bags were ripped, a wooden bunk bed frame was broken, the bed's ladder never accoubted for, a sectional piece broken beyond repair, my coffee table top completely destroyed (i was literally told by the driver to glue some of these things or repaint them) ...it was ridiculous. The driver was frustrated because I was adamant about getting photos and matching item numbers. Eventually it came out that he hadn't even brought all my things and needed to make additional trips. In the end I was left with several items missing; several boxes that weren't mine; pillows and linens that weren't mine but I was told to keep; and a disgruntled driver because I refused to tip.

I never heard back from the office regarding the damages, and had to file with DoT instead.

Avoid at all costs- they are atrocious

Theyll quote you then double the price after they've loaded your belongings onnthe truck. I knew I had a bad gut feeling about this company. Ugh.

Their crew that picked up my contents were professional and courteous, and took great care to protect my belongings. The delivery team was awesome, arrived on time and performed fantastically.
I would highly recommend Fragile Movers to anyone who is looking to move!
