Freddy Duncan & Sons Moving & Storage

Would not recommend. Our stuff ended up having to be split across 2 trucks for our cross country move because of their poor management. They also took apart furniture they shouldn't have, then put it together incorrectly with missing pieces. We found a large piece of one of our beds hidden in the corner of a bathroom where no other items were unloaded. We also received some of someone else's stuff, which makes me wonder how much of ours didn't make it here. Working with them was a nightmare and only added extra stress to an already stressful time.

edit: to say that 'some items' needed a separate truck is quite the understatement. Over 6000lbs of the 13000lb move ended up on the second truck. Seemingly no effort was made to keep disassembled furniture sets together, which led to multiple beds and desks only being partially reassembled with pieces still being found in random boxes. I understand that the source of the issue came from outside of the local office, but we hired Freddy Duncan to ensure a certain level of service that we didn't come close to receiving. We didn't get our money's worth, and instead heard nothing but deflection of responsibility.

Needed to move recently from Cookeville to mid-western Virginia. Called Freddy Duncan and Sons for an estimate. After a review of our place, we received a quote which is what we were hoping for. The movers arrived two weeks later and did an outstanding job which took most of the day.
The next day, we arrived at our destination. I wasn't sure how to pay and the truck had not arrived yet. Called Freddy Duncan and Sons office, and spoke personally to Freddy. He gave me a link where I could pay for services rendered. After that was done, the movers arrived and offloaded.
I am so glad we were able to get such a fine company to move us. It really removed a lot of stress for this move. I recommend Freddy Duncan and Sons to anyone planning a move soon. You can't go wrong. Thanks guys.

Friendly staff

I've had the occasion to use them twice; once to move an oversize door to my new house build (they were very accommodating when no one else would move the door) and recently to move us to the new house. Both times Charlie was great. Charlie and Jacye handled the move which was done quickly and efficiently without incident. Freddy has my recommendation.

Great place to have your item stored. Mr. Duncan and Son's are well known in storage units.
