Took advantage destroyed property and are claiming no recourse they don't carry insurance just some kind of mediation do not use

Too bad i couldnt leave a review below a one star. If I could I would give negative stars. They are SCAMMERS. They tried to more than triple our estimate AFTER they loaded the truck...not allowed to do that. If you are going to increase the price it must be done prior to loading the truck (i checked with an attorney).
The driver was ignorant as the day is long. He kept asking for more money, which I told was not going to happen, then i told him that I knew the way he was trying to keep charging us isn't legit, he basically did not come back in the house. There was one other guy that was with him who was a very hard worker that did the unpacking of the truck. My husband I (both 58) were helping bringing in the boxes and the going up and down the stairs with them. If I knew I was going to have to bring in the boxes myself, I would have saved the $5000 and done the move myself.
This company is nothing but a giant scam. I would not recommend to my worse enemy. I cannot express how disappointed I was in their so called service.

Absolutely horrible moving company. They essentially hold your stuff hostage after pick up. They under quote you on purpose and then when they show up and all of your stuff is loaded onto the truck it’s double the price and you have no choice but to pay. They fail to mention that the delivery date you provide is the first available date and they can deliver your stuff up to 30days after that date. The customer service is non-existent, you call and get no answers most of the time. When you do get an answer you’re met with hostility and attitudes from whoever picks up. If I could get them a negative start rating I would. This company seriously needs to be investigated my the authorities. Not sure how they are still able to operate.

My property arrived in good condition and in good time. However….

I had a relatively small move to do, a partial prior to the full move. I looked for various companies online and ended up going with Emerald Moving Logistics. Do not go near these scammers. There are a few “Emerald” movers, I’m talking about Emerald Moving Logistics specifically. They talk as if they are a moving company but they are not. They are a broker who will give you a very low price, sound very reasonable and decent on the phone but you will pay $950 upfront to book “their services “ and then pass you off to 1 star movers who will turn up and your cost will go though the roof.

The company that turned up were G&M moving and storage out of Bayonne NJ, and they were decent enough but my $1900 went to $3200 as soon as they looked at my stuff, which was exactly as described to Emerald; 14 boxes and a motorbike. In my case the jump wasn’t huge compared to some of the other stories I’ve read here but it was over 50%. I quickly weighed up the cost of the flight to come back to the house plus the hassle of more time off work and decided to agree to the extra.

Then my worry set in. The guys who came were fine and loaded my gear without issue but I thought it was company 1, but company 2 G&M had terrible reviews. All 1 star and a couple of 5 star reviews that were so vague they were clearly friends or family. I seriously considered renting a truck and going to get my gear and taking the loss but felt I was pretty much stuck.

And here’s the however; G&M were actually great. They called to say they had my stuff, then a week later called to say it was on its way and the driver would call. He did, and he was yet another freelancer so company number 3 now, but he was straight down the line and arrived exactly when he said he would. All my stuff was there and nothing was damaged, including the motorbike which was my biggest worry. The driver was great and nothing was too much trouble. G&M, I don’t know what’s going on with you but if this driver is an example of how you do business you could be good but I doubt this 1 review will make a difference so the ball is in your court as they say. Give people the service they pay for and separate yourselves from Emerald Moving Logistics and build a good company.

Sorry for the ramble all but my delivery mover was great and I felt it deserved a mention.

this is the worst moving company ever. It’s been past 3 months since my TV was broken during the move and my dresser was damaged. I have called numerous times and filed claims sent email after email and still nothing!!! It’s cheap for a reason. save your money and go with another company. this is such an inconvenience and so frustrating.
