I am a realtor and I will NOT recommend this company ever again after my own experience with them on 12/26/24. The owner was very nice the day she came out to give me an estimate. My settlement was 12/27/24 and I needed my bedroom set and my nail table moved to my storage unit 5 Minutes from my home. I told the owner the dresser mirror would already be gone and that I would have the king mattress and twin boxsprings wrapped and ready to be moved. The morning the movers arrived ( I was surprised 4 movers were sent for this job), the slats were already removed from the bed frame and the mattress and boxsprings were wrapped and in the hallway ready to go. The owner had given me a price total of $ 877.83 which included the moving charge of 3 Hours at $195/hr ($585), a Travel charge of $195 (their office is located in Southampton and my home was in Langhorne) , Shrink Wrap & Paper pads $ 65 and a fuel surcharge of $ 32.83. The movers arrived at my house at 835 am, loaded the truck and went to the storage unit and were finished and back in their truck pulling out at 1005 am. Total 1.5 hours.....Half the time I was charged on my estimate. I have had clients tell me they received a refund if the estimate was more than the move actually took and I mentioned this to the owner when she came out for the estimate because it seemed like the right thing to do and it made my clients very happy that the company was fair. I did not hear back from the company about a refund ( $292 ) so I emailed them a week later ( I did not want to bother them during NY holidays) and the email reply from the owner was that they have a 4 hour minimum. This was not mentioned on my email estimate or in person when owner out to give estimate. Very disappointing. Being that the move was the day after Christmas, I gave a very generous tip to each of the 4 movers ($ 50 each).
Last time I will recommend or use this company. Being honest and fair goes a long way in dealing with people .

Garttmeyer was my originating mover in my out of state move. The company was very flexible with my packing, loading and move dates.

On the morning of the packing and moving the Garttmeyer crew was right on time and very efficient in packing my remaining fragile items. From there the driver from National Van Lines and crew came and loaded everything on the truck for the move to my new house.

At my new residence the driver and crew efficiently unloaded all items and placed them per the labels on the boxes or per my request. It went very smoothly.

I have heard stories about moves that have gone wrong but mine is a story of everything that went right! Thank you to all who were involved.
