Had a fantastic experience with Gateway on 2/22/25. Recommended by a neighbor in 21211, the team of 4 guys (my bid was only for 3, but they needed a 4th for their next job so it was included) was fast, clean, and really nice. They had to disassemble and reassemble my bed and my move was up three flights of stairs (!!). Price was incredibly reasonable (4 guys x 3.5 hours = $600 aprox). Easy to work with the scheduling folks and they were unfazed by the stairs. Highly recommend!

DON'T USE THIS COMPANY!!! Sorry for this late post. I've used this company prior for a small local move and they did a great job! The pictures you see are for my big long distance move out of state. As you can see by my pictures, they threw my items in my storage units! No organization like before and the owner charged me $11,836.00 for this move. The foreman that was directing this crew was also used on my 1st job so I felt really confident that this job would not be any different unfortunately I was mistaken! I gave the forman specific instructions on how I wanted my things separated in the units. This was my first LD move and didn't think I needed to be there at the storage place with them the whole time to watch over them to see how my personal property would be cared for. When I went back to check and see this is how it looked. From items that were placed in front I discovered somethings shattered, damaged, missing even sentimental items from my father who had passed months ago missing and broken. I made sure that items had stickers on them like 'heavy, fragile etc. No I have to pay another moving company where I now reside to reorganize EVERYTHING so I can put in a claim since they request to list all damaged, broken or missing items. Estimates I received are anywhere from $1,700- $4,000 depending on how many hours it takes them to do this. PLEASE SPARE YOURSELF THE HEADACHE AND LOSS OF MORE MONEY AND NOT USE GATEWAY MOVING!!!!! I did an edit just now to add pictures of how my propert was stored in units but I don't know how to do this! I've posted pictures for EVERYONE TO SEE ON THUMBTACK!!! That's how I found this company.

YOU CALL THIS ORGANIZED!!! MY ITEMS ARE THROWN IN HERE!!!!! AND YES, I GAVE THE INSTRUCTIONS ON WERE TO PUT WHAT! EVEN THE MANAGER TOLD THEM AND THE FOREMAN BUT ACTED LIKE HE COULDN'T SPEAK ENGLISH.

I recently had the pleasure of using Gateway Moving for my recent relocation, and I cannot recommend them highly enough! From the start, the experience was exceptional. Ms. Dawn, my customer service representative, was incredibly knowledgeable and attentive. She explained every aspect of the move in, ensuring that I felt comfortable and well-informed throughout the entire process including pricing and possible materials needed that the company offered at an additional price.

On moving day, the team arrived promptly and was ready to work. I was particularly impressed with the professionalism and skill of the movers: Calvin, Mario, and Randall. They handled my furniture with the utmost care, demonstrating great expertise, especially with my more fragile pieces. It was clear that they truly valued my belongings, and I felt reassured knowing they were in charge of the move.

The entire process, from packing to unloading, was seamless and efficient. They worked well together, communicated effectively, and completed the job efficiently without compromising quality even though I had noting wrapped. Their positive attitudes and dedication made a stressful situation much more manageable.

Overall, Gateway Moving exceeded my expectations in every way. If you’re looking for a reliable and skilled moving company, look no further!

My move was outsourced to this company. Initially all was well when moving my items out of my apartment, but this issues began when I noticed items were missing. They handed me the contract to say the job was done…. Verbally stated all was unpacked from the truck…. And left. When I looked around large items were unaccounted for…. A glass table with lamp, a step stool, a chair, and a huge box with irreplaceable items from other countries and sentimental items from my deceased grandmother. There could still be more that is missing. When I reached out to the company, I was told multiple times the truck was empty. How can it be if my items are not in my place? I simply moved around the corner from one building to the next. I SAW the movers take out the items in question, but somehow they are not with me now.
BEWARE of this company. Something is not right. Request to check the truck, have someone present to make sure your items go on the truck and come off. Do not use them unless you want your precious memories to disappear. I am utterly disgusted and disappointed that a local company could be so careless and selfish to their community.

The three movers who helped me today were fantastic. They arrived on time, communicated clearly, and handled everything with care and efficiency. They were also incredibly friendly and kind, even offering to help dispose of my empty boxes. I would 100% recommend their services!
