Review:

No stars for this company and their service, or lack of service. Lost my $2500 bed and frame, damaged my sofa and lost a box. And they want to settle thru a 3rd party company for $50. I've never in 6 months talked with a live person about my claim. They pass the buck from voice mail to voice mail.

Review:

Many missing items and they used every bit of the fine print in the contract to avoid payment. One example, a box with approximately 80 music CDs disappeared. They refused to pay the claim because each CD was not listed on the list of goods. AVOID!

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!
I got a call from a sales rep that told me I could update my inventory at any time without an additional charge. I tried to call this company many times to update my inventory list and never got a call back!! The customer service reps were also rude. They also lie and tell you that you get a specialized moving assistant. Not a single person called me. On the day of my pickup, I was charged DOUBLE for the items that weren’t up to date even though I tried to update them several times!!! I filed a claim and was denied. I paid $1500 extra because they wouldn’t take my calls. They also had no idea when my shipment would arrive and got a called the day before even though I called for updates.THIS COMPANY SCAMS ON PURPOSE

This company is the biggest joke. There complete lack of customer service is mind boggling. Once you pay they become a ghost. No communication, nothing. They keep you in the dark as to where all of your stuff is. They have no clue whatsoever how to properly run a business. It is literally just a bunch of chickens running around with their heads cut off.
Lauren was my sales rep. So pleasant on the phone. I asked all the right questions, I got quotes from 10 different moving companies. She told me they would give my partner and I a medical professionals discount with our move and we would save a few hundred bucks. That’s great! After talking to multiple companies we decided to go with Gathright. That is the single worst decision I’ve ever made in my entire life up to this point. I wouldn’t wish the nightmare we have gone through for the last week, and continue to go through with them on my worst enemy. I would rather get all my teeth pulled out with a pair of pliers than deal with these crooks for another minute. They will and are going to tell you everything you want to hear, regardless of it’s truthfulness. I find it extremely hard to believe you can sell people over and over on the shoddy service provided without an inkling of what’s going on. These people are absolute scum. Integrity means nothing to them. All they care about it getting as much money as they possible can from you. I can’t believe they’re allowed to do business at all.
They quoted us for 835 cu ft. On the moving day, the truck was 6 hours late. The “foreman,” didn’t bother calling us to let us know they would be late until 20 mins before the end of their 4 hour window when they should have arrived. Once the movers arrived it was 3 boys no bigger than my pinky finger. He went through my stuff and then estimated we had an additional 90 cu ft we would need to pay $7 per cu ft. That’s an additional $680. By this point we were so behind schedule we had no choice but to buck up and pay it. Fine, whatever. Then after it took them 4 hours to load our stuff onto the truck he told me he underestimated and I’m order for him to load our couch he was going to have to charge us an additional $770. Our couch wasn’t even worth that much money!!!! I told him it was in the contract, once they start loading they can’t change the price, he flat out refused to load it. So we had to, spare of the moment give our couch to our neighbor. I called at least 10 times trying to get ahold of customer service, no one answered the phone. That has been the story ever since. It just rings and rings and rings. There’s no voicemail service, nothing.
Back to the liar Lauren, she promised me they had multiple loads coming out to our destination and that it would take the minimum amount of days to get to us, which was 6 days. That was another reason I went with this company. Being as it’s been longer than that I called to inquire about the location of our stuff. Once again, no answer at any of the phone numbers they have. I finally emailed Joe Taylor, the listed Sales Manager, to find out what was going on. He never responded. He must have passed the message on however because two hours later someone called me back. They explained my stuff is still sitting in a warehouse and won’t be loaded onto a moving truck for another 4-5 days. I then won’t receive any of my things for another 7-13 days. By the time this is all said and done, I will have paid out well over $1500 more than I was originally quoted. I also won’t be receiving any of my items until the last day before I can legally take them to court.
This company is NOT BBB rated and they aren’t in good standing. They have multiple complaints filed against them. Soon to have one more. Do not let them sweet talk you into anything! I can promise you whatever they tell you is a lie. Save yourself the headache of going through this nightmare. It’s never ending and they have the power to do whatever they want. These people deserve to be locked up.

Review:

This mover is the absolute worst. Took 45 days to move my furniture from Sacramento Ca to Georgetown Tx. They charged me almost $2,000 over original bid even though I REDUCED the volume of items being shipped. They would never answer the phone despite calling them almost every day to try to find out where my shipment was. Don’t use this mover. You will be sorry!
