Gearharts Moving & Storage

We used Gearharts for moving just the larger items. My only regret was not using them for the entire move! Reasonable prices, professional service.

They're great!!!!! So much more careful than Wall's. They've moved me two times...soon to be three! They even moved a Baby Grand flawlessly!!

Very disappointed in Gearharts Moving & Storage. We moved Jan 2nd, we just paid for them to move the big items, we moved all the boxes etc. They broke a leg off of our dresser and couch, which we didn't realize until much later, so we didn't say anything. They also broke a drawer off of my daughter's dresser, which they left the broken drawer on her bed but didn't say anything about it, I found the broken drawer that night. I called and told them, they said they'd called back. It was several weeks and no call back, so I called again, they came and took the drawer to get fixed. Another several weeks go by and no follow up, so I called again and they said they were still working on it. It is now the beginning of April and STILL no follow up so I called again, they said they couldn't fix it and could offer $60. WHAT?! A broken dresser drawer that cannot be fixed or used, I have to replace the whole dresser now and that cannot be done for $60. I am so very disappointed and will never use or recommend this moving service again.

Edit: they also said they couldn't get our main dresser and king size bed up to the master bedroom so they left it in the living room, and my fiance and I were able to get it up ourselves.

Update: we were never offered to sign a release. We told them it was okay to make whatever damages to walls because my fiance could fix it.

After writing this review and on facebook I was reached out to and we came to a fair conclusion and I was sent a check.

We moved from Belize Central America to the US, specifically Pennsylvania. Gearharts was hired to move our furniture and personal belongings from Miami, Florida to Pa. The container arrived in Miami and looked like it had been ransacked! Care was taken to repack our belongings and ensure we received our belongings without any further damage.

A transition like that is not an easy process and ours was certainly a challenge.
Gearharts moved our stuff back to PA and held it for us until we were able to establish our dwelling. We were not able to accept all our belongings immediately, and they allowed us to sort through our boxes and pick and choose what we wanted to take and what we needed to remain in storage.

Later the same day they delivered our selected goods to our apartment.

They're workers were extremely courteous and helpful bringing our things into our apartment.

We will definitely use them again as we know we have one more final move!
