Go Store It Self Storage

I rented storage space for my small business at this Goodale Blvd. facility for 14 or 15 months, during which time there were a number of issues with the elevators in the building. Last weekend, I went to this facility on Saturday night to gather product for a market I was scheduled to sell at on Sunday only to find that the two elevators in the building were out of service and the door to the fourth floor, where my storage unit *was* located, was locked. GoStoreIt did not send out an email letting its customers know that their access would be impacted; there was just a handwritten note on the door of the building letting everyone know that management would be out until Monday morning. Long story short: My company lost about $500 by my estimate, and GoStoreIt offered me $50 in credit for my next month's rental fee, which is an insult. Also, I had literally JUST signed a rental agreement with a new storage facility on Wednesday (FOUR DAYS after the GoStoreIt access problem) when GoStoreIt's regional manager finally got around to contacting me about my bad experience with his company, and this guy had the audacity to tell me that he wished I hadn't signed an agreement with another company because he had been willing to offer me 'several months' in make-good time, which is really easy to say when the customer has already flown the coop. Anyway, this location may be OK if you're just looking to store furniture, etc. and you don't need reliable access. However, if you're a business and you're looking for a place to store your product(s), be warned.
