I just called this company to get an estimate for packing my home for a move. A young man answered the phone and was VERY UNPROFESSIONAL to say the least. After greeting him, I asked for his pricing on packing? He stopped me mid sentence and said what kind of packing-dishes. Tried to continue my conversation, but again was cut off with him trying to rudely explain his business. When he took a breath, I told him I understood and needed my home packed for a move. I then asked for his name and if he was the owner. He was very abrupt in telling me to be specific about what I wanted, but still didn’t identify himself. I said ok, this is not starting out well. He continued to lecture me about the moving business. I tried to let him know I was familiar with it and as a retired executive, I had been moved 13 times by professional movers like United,Global and the likes, but he was not listening and was too busy trying to school me. I am taking the opportunity to let him know that it is important to listen to potential customers FIRST, so you don’t lose out on potential clients.
